About the Program
ProductX is a 10-week product incubation program for product-based startups — built for teams who have an idea or a problem worth solving, but need the structure, mentorship, and hands-on sessions to turn it into workable products.
It's a hybrid program: a 3-day, in-person bootcamp kicks things off, forcing clarity fast — a validated problem statement, an early product concept, and a first-cut business model — followed by weekly virtual mentoring sessions that carry teams from customer discovery and prototyping through electronics development and go-to-market, culminating in an investor-facing demo day.
Along the way, teams get prototyping support, 1:1 mentoring, capacity-building workshops, design sprints, and access to labs and the broader innovation network.

Eligibility & Criteria
ProductX follows general and eligibility criteria set out for ignition-grant-backed incubation support.
General Criteria
- The support is for development of a prototype / product.
- Ideas and innovations should be based on technology and science.
- The product prototype must be a physical product.
- Ideas or innovations should have a roadmap towards commercialization.
- The prototype must be capable of being completed within 12 to 14 months.
- Applicants can be individual innovators or early-stage startups.
- Any IP generated should vest with the innovator or the startup.
- Applicants must have ownership of project know-how / IP, or the right to use IP owned by a third party.
- Innovators should have a technical skill set or background.
Eligibility Criteria
- An individual innovator without a startup, or the founder/co-founder of a startup, can apply.
- Individual innovators must be Indian citizens with government-approved proof of nationality, 18+ years of age.
- Startup co-founders must also be Indian citizens, 18+ years of age, with startup incorporated in India & 51%+ Indian equity.
- Startup must not be more than 2 years old, and annual turnover must not have crossed Rs. 25 lakh in any financial year.
Not Eligible
- Pure software development, e-commerce, service solutions, and app-based solutions.
- Funding for research or student internships at academic / R&D institutions.
- Proposals for products that have already crossed the prototype stage.
